2027 Astrology Calendar, Month by Month

This calendar gathers every notable sky event of 2027 in one place, computed from the actual planetary positions with Swiss Ephemeris rather than copied from older almanacs. Scroll the month-by-month list for retrograde stations, eclipses, New and Full Moons and the days planets change signs, or open a topic page for the details behind each. Use it to plan launches, conversations and rest around the rhythm of the year, and pair it with your yearly horoscope to see which area of your life each event touches.

The big picture of 2027

The slow planets set the backdrop. Saturn spends the entire year in Aries, so lessons about independence, courage and starting over carry real weight; it pauses to review from August until late December. Neptune shares Aries with it, while Uranus stays in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, keeping long-running themes of new ideas, information and collective change steady from January to December. The lunar nodes hold the Aquarius–Leo axis, which is why both solar eclipses land in Aquarius and Leo. The main shift belongs to Jupiter: after ending its retrograde in Leo in April, it moves into Virgo in late July, turning the spotlight from self-expression and play toward skill, daily routines and useful, well-made work.

How to read this calendar

Every date and time here is given in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Convert with your own offset: an event listed shortly after midnight UTC may fall on the previous evening in the Americas, while a late-evening UTC event can land on the next morning in Asia or Australia. Positions use the tropical zodiac, the system most Western astrologers work with. To find your house for any event, count from your Sun sign as the 1st house: for a Taurus, an event in Gemini falls in the 2nd house, one in Cancer in the 3rd, and so on around the wheel. If you know your rising sign, count from it as well; that reading is often the closer fit.

The busiest stretches of the year

Three periods stand out. February is crowded: Mercury turns retrograde while Mars is still moving backward, and the first eclipse pair, an annular solar eclipse in Aquarius and a penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo, arrives within two weeks. The second eclipse season runs from mid-July to mid-August, framing the total solar eclipse in Leo with two lunar eclipses, while Jupiter changes sign and Saturn begins its retrograde. October brings the third Mercury retrograde while Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are also reversing, so the first half of the month has five planets retrograde at once. By contrast, from mid-April to early May no planet is retrograde, a window many astrologers favor for fresh starts.

Frequently asked questions

How many eclipses are there in 2027, and when?

Five: two solar and three lunar. February holds the first pair, an annular solar eclipse in Aquarius (the 6th) and a penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo (the 20th). Summer brings the other three within a month: lunar in Capricorn (18 July), the long total solar eclipse in Leo (2 August) and lunar in Aquarius (17 August). Times on this page are UTC.

Which time zone does this 2027 astrology calendar use?

All times are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Convert them with your local offset; during daylight saving time New York is four hours behind UTC and Los Angeles seven. An event listed close to midnight can therefore fall on a different date where you live, so check the hour before planning around it.

Which planets stay in the same sign for all of 2027?

Saturn and Neptune both hold Aries all year, Uranus keeps to Gemini, and Pluto remains in Aquarius. The lunar nodes keep the North Node in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo. Because these placements barely change, their themes act as the year’s backdrop, while the faster planets and the eclipses supply the turning points.

When does Jupiter move into Virgo in 2027?

Jupiter enters Virgo on 26 July 2027 and stays there for the rest of the year. Before that it completes its stay in Leo, turning direct in mid-April after a retrograde that began in December 2026. The move shifts Jupiter’s emphasis from creativity and visibility toward skills, service, health habits and well-organized work.

Dates and times are given in UTC. Positions are computed in the tropical zodiac with Swiss Ephemeris.
