Born on February 16: Aquarius

Aquarius, decan 3

Sub-ruler: Venus

Venus brings warmth and social grace to the Aquarius mind. You still think in big, fair-minded ideas, but here you deliver them gently and with genuine affection for people. Friendship is sacred to you, and you are good at keeping very different people in the same room. Loving humanity in general while overlooking the person right in front of you is a real possibility here. Show up for the small, specific things. Teams and causes bring out your best at work. You need equality in love and a sense of being friends first, and you offer the same in return.

Birthday number 7

You want to know why. Surface answers don’t satisfy you, so you read, question, observe and sit with a problem until it makes sense. Solitude recharges you; a quiet evening with a book can feel better than a crowded party. Friends value your honest, considered opinions, even if they have to wait for them. The challenge is a tendency to overthink and keep people at arm’s length while you analyze. Share a half-formed thought now and then; closeness doesn’t require having it all figured out.

Born in February

Short, cold and oddly hopeful, February is the month when light starts returning before the weather catches up. People born now often combine two moods: Aquarius, which rules the first two-thirds of the month, brings curiosity, idealism and a taste for doing things differently, while Pisces, arriving around the 19th, adds empathy and imagination. Amethyst is the birthstone, a purple quartz associated with calm and clear thinking. The violet, small and sturdy, is February’s flower and a symbol of faithfulness. Friends tend to describe you as unusual in the best sense: open-minded, kind and hard to pin down.
